Our Members in the US are hosted a Chai Day!
Member of The Circle, Carrie, decided to host a Chai Day in Washington DC ‘to help kick off The Circle’s growing presence in the United States. We are a small yet motivated bunch, spread out geographically throughout the country. This is a great way to discuss the good work that the women of The Circle do on a daily basis, and introduce those stateside who may not have yet heard of its work.’
For our members based in the US this was the perfect opportunity to support our Chai Day projects. Women gathered together to bring about the inaugural Chai Day for the Circle NGO in the U.S.! Thanks to all who joined them to have a cup of coffee or tea and donated to a cause to help women in need due to gender-based violence or homelessness.
During the event, guests discussed the sobering statistics regarding domestic violence, both globally and locally, as well as how that connects to the mission of The Circle as a whole. Lets hope for many more events in the U.S in the future!
