Sowing seeds... Growing futures

Guests were all treated to a wonderful evening from The Scottish Circle that raised significant funds for projects supporting women and girls in Rwanda and Nepal. The evening hosted by the warm and funny Muriel Gray started with an art exhibition and sale with pieces donated by numerous local artists, followed by inspiring speeches, a 3 course meal kindly provided and donated by Ryan James of The Two Fat Ladies. There was furious bidding on the 10 Auction prizes which included Annie Lennox’s hand written lyrics of her track ‘Cold’ framed with a signed photograph. Highlight of the auction for many was the opportunity to meet and greet George Clooney (though a bigger bid was made for lunch with the First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon, MSP). The evening concluded with a wonderful performance from Shirley Manson and Angelfish who had not performed together for 23 years so memories were made for many on that evening. Proceeds of the evening will be donated to the David Williamson Rwanda Foundation and Unicef.
