Processions: celebrating votes for women

In 1918, the Representation of the People Act gave the first British women the right to vote and stand for public office. One hundred years later, thousands of women inĀ Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh and London marched in a mass participation artwork to celebrate women’s suffrage and to remind the world that there is still a lot of work to be done to achieve gender equality.

A group of members of The Circle joined theĀ sea of purple, green and white in London to demand equality for women and girls in a fairer world.
