Jumble Fever 2020
After the huge success of The Oxford Circle’s Jumble Fever in 2019, the team held an event bigger and more ambitious event this year. Having outgrown its original location, this year’s event was held in Oxford Town Hall and raised an incredible amount of funds for the Nonceba Family Counselling Centre and the Marie Colvin Journalists’ Network.
Special guests included commentator, activist and TV presented Caryn Franklin MBE and performances from Oxford bands The Mother Folkers and The Kirals, DJs and MC for the day Her Who. Doors opened at 11am and the volunteer team were busy throughout the day, selling bric a brac, clothing, and celebrity donations from Colin Firth and Annie Lennox. This event has managed to raise over £10,000, an amount that will make a huge impact in the lives of women and girls supported by our projects. Leanne Duffield, The Oxford Circle Chair, is determined that:
“Jumble Fever is just the beginning for The Oxford Circle this year as we have 19 more events planned for 2020. All events will raise money or awareness for marginalised women around the world.”
