Inner Circle Evening Lecture with Philippa James
The Oxford Circle invites you to the second instalment of our lecture series. This time, we are thrilled to have Philippa James, Oxford Photographer and member of The Circle, coming to speak to us about her 100 Women of Oxford Photography Exhibition.
Philippa will talk through the inspiration that began the project, the process of creating it, and what she has learned since the launch of the physical exhibition at Tap Social Movement, and the experience of taking the exhibition online in light of lockdown.
We are asking for a £5 donation that will go directly to our Covid-19 appeal, The Women and Girls Solidarity Fund.
About Philippa James
Philippa is an Oxford-based portrait photographer. She also runs The Motherhood photography workshops for mums who want to improve their photography skills.
About the 100 Women of Oxford Project
Seeking a way to find deeper connections within Oxford city and its community, photographer Philippa James set out to meet one hundred women who live here, most of whom started off as strangers.
In this photography exhibition, Philippa shares a portrait of each woman and a small extract from their story. Now she invites you to meet them too.
