The Open Circle: Thoughts on the Future of Fashion
The Oxford Circle is delighted to invite you to a lunchtime discussion with Jane Robson, a member of The Circle.
Jane Robson is an international expert in the fashion and retail industry, with a career spanning more than 3 decades, living and working across Asia and Europe. She was instrumental in the early days of “offshore production” and movement away from UK manufacturing into developing countries. She had a dynamic journey living in exciting locations, training incredible teams, and built complex supply chains delivering fashion and homeware to many of the top retailers. Whilst doing this always seeking to satisfy the never ending growth in customer demand, and constant newness, which many of us know as “fast fashion”.
It is evident that the fashion industry is one of the most environmentally damaging, and socially unethical businesses, that touches all of us in some way or another.
Jane believes that innovation and sustainability needs to be at the forefront of the industry as the world emerges from the challenges of the past few months.
Join us to explore Jane’s story, learn about this huge global business and discuss the future of reshaping the fashion industry.
