Chai Day Webinar
Chai Day is one of the best ways to be involved in supporting some of the most vulnerable and marginalised women and girls locally and globally. Chai Day is all about gathering people together to talk and break the taboos around gender-based violence and the ways this affects women and girls globally. You can read more about hosting a Chai Day here.
For those who were already signed up and few who needed a bit more inspiration, we held a webinar to ask questions and share ideas on Wednesday 7 November. Our Relationship Manager, Peta Barrett, and The Circle’s Communications and Projects Officer, Anna Renfrew co-hosted an interactive session to talk about The Circle’s Chai Day; what it’s all about, reasons to host a Chai Day of your own and ideas to inspire your event!
Peta and Anna were online online at 9am, 1pm and 6pm BST to host a virtual conversation between members around the topic of ‘Hosting a Chai Day. The 45-minute discussion began with Peta and Anna sharing a bit about the Chai Day campaign and giving an update from the core team and was followed by interesting discussions on the importance of talking about this issue, how we can be supportive to survivors and why Chai Day is so important.
