The Asian Circle Summer Party 2017

Following last year’s success, The Asian Circle held its second Summer Party at the Bangalore Express, in London, on 12 July at 6.30 PM.

We were delighted to be hosting several guest speakers, including the multiple award-winning comedian and columnist Shazia Mirza as our headliner.

The evening included complimentary drinks, canapes, prizes and the opportunity to meet the women of The Asian Circle—a network of UK-based Asian women that use their skills and connections to support women in South Asia.

Everyone who attended had the opportunity to become a member of The Circle and share their insights to help shape The Asian Circle’s plans for 2018. The Asian Circle was also sharing upcoming plans, details of their education project in UK schools, and insights and reflections on The Asian Circle’s visit to the Adivasi communities in Chhattisgarh and Odisha, East India.

All our guests enjoyed a 20% discount at the Bangalore Express, allowing them to experience the Asian culinary delights of Yogesh Datta, the UK’s top Indian chef, at a great price.

All proceeds went towards The Asian Circle’s project in Chhattisgarh and Odisha, India, which has been setting up shelters for women who have survived domestic violence and raising awareness about gender-based violence.
